It's all in the price of tickets. A day-night doubleheader has separate admissions to each game - like two separate games - while a double-header is two games for the price of one.

With a double header you buy one ticket and you can see both games with that ticket. With two single games the same day you would need a ticket for each game to get in and probable would be a day and night game

A double header was previously scheduled.
This is two games played in one day because of the rain out.

Double you get 2 games for one price. There is usually a small break in between. Two single games has a longer break in the middle and everyone usually leaves the ballpark and re-enters with a new ticket.

A double-header is back-to-back. they play one game tehn have a mini mini break then start the next one. two single games might ahve a longer time period of break. maybe at least an hour or so.

the time spand. If it was the last game of the series that got delayed or postponed and they had to reschedule it on the next series they played, that would be a double header.
They just made it for the next day.
