Its more than ok. You{re time is reserved for you, when you are ready and feeling up and availiable to speak to your callers then you respond. It would not be wortwhile to responde if you are feeling out of it or preoccupied with something else, then they may would not satisfied with your response or reaction to their call. I do not take calls if I am not feeling up to talking nor in teh appropriate enviroment to accept certain callers. I rather not and call later when its ok, or Im ready. Also remember its your time, you control just because you have the phone on you does not mean they can invade YOUR time. Its good for both parties if you are both in a mutual mode to converse. definately! You don't always HAVE TO answer the phone... something i only learned this past year.
When I'm talking to my friends, I like to devote all of my attention to them. That's how I show I'm a good friend, I listen intently and contribute to whats going on as much as I can. If there is something going on with me like if i'm in the middle of something, or talking to someone else, or even if I feel like being by myself and just reflecting on things, then I don't answer because I am currently unable to give all of my attention to that person.

Of course. Good friends always understand if you are not available every time they call. Personally, I think the phone is a complete interruption. Screen on.

Just because they are calling when THEY want to talk doesn't mean they are calling when WE want to talk.
My friends and I KNOW we do it to each other - family too....we have lives that we don't have to put on hold just because someone wants us for something.

just because you have a phone doesn't make you obligated to answer it every time it rings. But if someone leaves you a message, at some point you should call them back out of courtesy.

I do it all the time, sometimes you just need the peace or some light tv! I always call them, back! But they know how I am!

yea why wouldnt it be? i do it. if you dont pick up how would they ever know that you were home or avaliable anyway? you could be in the shower, taking a nap, getting laid....
yeah its no big deal, screen calls all you want.
