Fixing the valve timing would mean removing the timing belt and re-aligning the timing marks. This isn't a quick and easy job. Get a Chiltons or Haynes repair manual for instructions. The manual will help later on when other stuff starts to break. One tip if you do this yourself, Remove the drivers side front tire and remove the splash guards for easier access to some parts.
