Where do they get those great Walmart greeters?
I am thinking a circus or a side show!

Unfortunely I am mean but when I am 70 if I make it I really would not want to work!

They troll senior centers, pinochle games, and bingo halls. By the way, "welcome to Wal-Mart, would you like a cart?"

I think that it is a wonderful thing that Walmart gives older people the opportunity to work even if it is as a greeter since the majority of all Walmart greeters tend to be senior citizens. It gets them out of the house and something to do and they feel like society still has a use for them.

I think they are cool! I mean what do you do when you are alone in the world and too old to hang drywall, or lay bricks. Sit at home and watch reruns of MASH? These people may be the only ones that day who say "Hi, nice to see you"! I wonder what you will think when you are 75 y/o and the epiphany hits you that this is all there is to life. Will you be the bigger man and go out for 4 hours a day 2-3 days a week and make someones day by saying "good morning" or "what a beautiful child". No, these people don't deserve the trashing you just gave them.

The Walmart greeters in my little town are great and I love them all. Many are retirees that love to see their friends are still living and a few are students from our local community college.
