I get really mad at first, speak my mind and hoot and hauler for a bit. Then I get over it. I usually figure out that I might be wrong or that I was done wrong by some pretty stupid people so I end up just moving on. Why let someone else's stupidity make me have a bad day. Not going to happen. Other then that, I don't try to get even. But if I had enough POWER trust me a few people might not be to happy. But that wll not happen.LOL So happy day! Ok you have a good day! I make sure that whoever made me mad can't do it again without full knowledge of the consequences. I'm not a vindictive person. I am just not a rug anymore. I was the nicest person alive until I found that people who are nice get preyed on first. I'll be nice until I am taken advantage of. Is that wrong?

Well...I do get mad, but G-D gets even for me. He said that vengeance is His, and believe me, He does a lot better job than I ever could. It is interesting to watch and see what He does...

I am worried that's a false dichotomy.
We could get mad and not get even or we could get even. People who get even usually do so because they're angry. If someone wasn't angry or offended, they would be much less encouraged to seek retribution. If you stepped on my foot accidentally, I wouldn't be angry and wouldn't step back on your foot. But say I did step on your foot to get even, it probably wouldn't have been done out of indifference or just for the sake of it.

I get mad, then get even by guilt (most of the time). Or else I give them a taste of their own medicine.
