For those of you who are thinking or are going to vote for him. Would you still vote for him, even if he wasn't black?

Absolutely, I have done my research on all of the candidates and I believe he will do the best job because he is so in touch with average Americans.

I don't care what color his skin is: we are all human, and no one is better than anyone else.

There are many reasons why I feel he is the best choice, but I'd rather people take a look at him and decide for themselves whether he is the best candidate for them or not.

Here is a quote that explains why he is electable:

"In 2008, given the disastrous state of political affairs in America and its standing in the world community, the candidates with the most Washington experience appear to be headed for trouble in some popularity surveys. Polling consistently shows that many Americans want a fresh approach, a leader who is not representative of the system that has brought us to the crisis point. "Most voters want something new," says Democratic consultant Donna Brazile, who managed Al Gore's presidential campaign in 2000. "They want less D.C. experience and more good values."

Nevertheless, Obama does have significant experience under his belt —eight years in the Illinois state Senate, and a seat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee during his first two years in the Senate. Senator Obama has been notably productive in Washington—he’s the primary sponsor of 152 bills and resolutions, including three Senate resolutions, and 14 bills that he cosponsored have become law. He introduced the ‘Spent Nuclear Fuel Tracking and Accountability Act,’ which works to deter nuclear proliferation; the ‘Drinking Water Security Act of 2005,’ which reduces pollutants in our water; and the ‘Lane Evans Veterans Health and Benefits Improvement Act of 2006,’ which secures health benefits for our veterans.

Obama’s perspective on the topic of experience is instructive: “Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld have an awful lot of experience, yet they have engineered what I think is one of the biggest foreign policy failures in our recent history. So I would say the most important things are judgment and vision ... and passion for the American people and what their hopes and dreams are.” He is on record as believing that given a certain necessary level of experience, sound judgment is always more important than time on the job."

If he had the answers I would vote for him.

My gosh with all the issues impacting this country today, such as health care, education, war, the elderly, the national deficit, etc. I would vote for a 3 headed sea monster if they could figure it all out. The racial profile of Mr. Obama is the least of our worries don't you think? I just do not see him or anyone else for that matter with any answers...it is just the same rhetoric and pandering. They all get their funding from groups that expect their agenda's to be complied with IMO.

It sounds like you believe that there are people that are voting for him only because part of his ethnic heritage is African.
For me race or sex has no bearing on who I vote for.
I would not vote for Hillary but I would vote for Barbara Boxer, Barbara Lee or Maxine Waters if they were the candidate.
For me it is more about class interests.
With the exception of Kucinich, Gravel and Paul; all the other candidates represent the interests of Corporations and the wealthiest 10% of Americans that own 82% of the Stock in those Corporations.

Dude,
I am black and I am not voting for him. I don't judge people by the color of their skin or by their gender or anything that is totally irrelevant to their job. We should be beyond that petty nonsense by now. Black people are already the most susceptible to discrimination in the work force. We would shoot ourselves in the foot if we decided to discriminate against the most qualified candidate. That is why I support Hillary Clinton. You probably would not vote for her given the fact that you would ask such a question, but I support Hillary wholeheartedly. We need a leader that will foster change in this country. I hope that all the voters vote against the plain haters in this country. This is the greatest country in the world yet we still have damned haters. It is sickening. Support Hillary. It just makes sense.

If it's someone of character who wants to provide quality and affordable health care for all American citizens and secure our borders, they've got my vote.
