I have a well system that includes a pumb and a pressure tank. When ever any water is running in the house the pressure switch cycles on and off every second. If you look at the pressure guage it bounces between 50 and 30 psi with every cycle. I am wondering if the problem would be in my pressure tank, my pressure switch, the discharge control capacitor, or the well pump itself?

most likely your tank is a diaphragm tank and the water has leaked past the diaphragm and has water logged the tank requiring you to get a new tank

Whether you have a bladder tank or an old fashioned water resevoir tank with a volume control diaphram on the end, the tank is waterlogged. That means there's no air in the top of the tank to be compressed when the pump kicks on. So when the pressure switch calls for water, the pump kicks on and immediately puts enough water into the tank to make it up to 50 lbs of pressure, then immediately cuts back off. On/off, on/off. You'll need to bleed out the water till it's almost completely gone from the tank and then shut off the faucet or hose, and start the pump again. When it pumps up, it will compress the air above the water and it should work normally for a while. If you have a bladder tank then you'll need to replace it, if you have a regular old type tank, then you'll probably need to do this procedure every year or so.

It is probably the air water ratio. There should be a valve to release or add air on the top of the tank take a reading and see.
