Is is noticeable? What are the other advantages of DSL? My isp mentions speed, not tying up the phone line, and no disconnects. Are there any others? I'm really tired of waiting on my old 56k modem. Thanks.

alin_steglinski0, why does DSL suck? Don't just make a blanket statement & walk away.

3.0Mbps is effectively twice as fast as 1.5Mbps. For normal web browsing the difference won't be very noticeable. Downloading files, however, will be much faster on the 3Mbps connection. Either one is MUCH faster than dial-up, so determine how important the download speed is for you and buy the appropriate package.

well 1.5mbps is kinda fast but i have it at my moms and its like fast dial up and everytime you make a call or somebody calls you and u pick it up u lose connection for like a minute and gets really annoying so i would try the 3.0mbps but if its to much money just go with 1.5mbps

Its much much faster, trust me, once you have broadband, you will never want to use 56k dial up again. 1.5 and 3.0 is the speed, for surfing, anything broadband will do, but when you download large files, ie. music etc, faster your broadband, quicker it is to download.
