Yes because you have so many dishonest people in this world when someone does tell the truth people just don't believe it.
I have found in my life every time I tell the truth I would end up in crap
It does not stop me from telling the truth it helps me to understand more about people
And it is true that the truth hurts

A couple of Quotes about the Truth

“You can bend it and twist it...
You can misuse and abuse it...
But even God cannot change the Truth.”

I would sooner have you hate me for telling you the truth
Than adore me for telling you lies.”

Well, it all depends on what you make of it. Some think it is better to hide through the truth with carefully constructed lies, to make others feel confident or safe. Some just dont want panic running through people, which basically means they want to have control of them. Now a threat to the concept of honesty..No I dont think so. The very meaning of honesty is really what you make of it, just like reality. Its all in the eyes of the beholder. But know that a lie is so much worse than truth.

It isn't. The hardest truth to believe is learning that everything you've ever believed is a lie.

It's because people don't like absolutes, they like to think they have complex reasons for everything. If you strip it down with pure honesty, it's like you're seeing through them, it's overexposure, people feel uncomfortable.

One should always try to be truthful. However, some things are better off unsaid.

SOME people just cant accept the fact that they are wrong. they are basically asking a question, to hear an answer that will justify their actions and words
