how do you make a directory for a website??? I'm using ZexXo.com, and I'm trying to use CutePHP for scripts...

I'm needing to make a directory so I can use these scripts or whatever their called... but I need to make a directory... Problem is, is that I'm totally clueless! This is what the wizard says I should do, but I have no clue how to do it!!! Can anyone help??? THX! :)

The installation of CuteNews is really easy and you should do it without any problems if you fallow these steps:

1) Create a directory on your server ( e.g. cutenews )
2) Upload the content of the cutenews.1.4.5.zip to the directory you created in step 1
3) Now You must CHMOD the the directory cutenews/data/ and all files and
folders under the data/ directory must be also chmod'ed to 777.
4) Finally, go to http://yoursite.com/cutenews/index.php with you favorite browser and fallow the instructions.

You can use your website control panel to create directories,, or even easier use your FTP progam.. just log onto your server and create a directory. (use CuteFTP it allows directory creation.)

A directory is just a folder located in the root level of your server. The root level is where your index page is located.
You use an ftp program to connect to your server, your root will either be marked with a www or public_html, something like that.
Go into that level and create a new folder.
The CHMOD sets the permissions. You should also be able to do this through the ftp program.
If you don't have an ftp program you should get one. There are many free ones.
