That's a long time since Iraq became a nation shortly after WWII ended. They tried to become a nation with Nazi backing during WWII but Great Britain put down the revolt quickly. Technically, the British Mandate ended in 1932 and a Constitutional Monarchy under the Hashemite's was formed but Great Britain remained the real power there until after the war.

Since it became a nation of it's own in 1920, alot has happened.
