I've been married for nearly 9 years and don't get me wrong I love my life and family, have no regrets etc. But I do find myself thinking back to the good old days!!

I was brought up in the country and loved it, thinking about it we had no responsibilities like today ie mortgage, bills, children etc...

As children we spent our time playing in the bus stop, church porch, scramble track or someones house and it was great!! Spent time either having a laugh in the village, getting a bit drunk at a friends house/garage when our parents were at work, swimming in the weir, going on the back on older friends motorbikes, making camps...... those were the days!

Does anyone else feel like this?

That's the problem with us adults. Many forget about taking time to be chidlren...........what's stopping you from riding a motorbike, making camps, etc. Invite an old friend and do some of those things...........it's never too late to be a kid again....and it's great for the soul.

I wish it was the 80s, but it can't be. I just like to make sure i don't forget it. The good old days seem to have stopped when i left primary school, after that i concidered that 'the school days'. then responsability comes in, and it ends. Cut out some responsability, if you can't get any closer after that, then do something memorable now! A new starting point.

There is something to be said for those long ago days. We were carefree then, surrounded by people we loved, and had no real responsibilities.

I miss the times I had with my younger brothers. They were so cute and funny back then. We'd make up all these crazy Olympic games that we would do in the back garden and totally exhaust ourselves during those summer evenings. And having our parents there watching our antics and cheering us on. It didn't matter who won, it was just so much fun.

I am 20 years old married with child, and feel all of those things! I had to grow up so fast and didn't get to do some of those things very much anyway. You just have to take a deep breath and then you'll feel better. You can always get a babysitter and take some time off from being mommy, and go have fun.

i do go back to my single days, when i don't have the worries of anyone but myself. Like yourself i love my family and i'm glad i had them when i did. But you have to grow up and live on. I loved the 6 weeks holidays when i was in senior school, we all used to hang out at the seafront every . Our gang got bigger by the end of the holidays and i made so many new friends from different schools.

What you youngsters don't realise is that now will be the past when you get old..and you'll look back and call these the good old days, so make the most of your life now,and try not to do anything you'll regret.

i don't know if you would call it missing but i do miss the times back then. my family lived in the same city instead of now we are spread across the usa, both of my parents were living and life was more simple as we don't have the worries that we have now. but i wouldn't want to go back to being a child as i'm blessed now also
