while conservatives only accuse liberals of being gravely misinformed. I think half of the country being ignorant to fact is a bit more reasonable than the other half being evil.

When you have no legitimate argument, resort to name calling. It changes the subject and puts conservatives on the defensive. Personal responsibility (endorsed by cons) vs "collective reponsibility". Liberals tout themselves as the 'compassionate' party--entitlements to every minority group--and no personal responsibility. They divide Americans into 'special groups' and give those groups special privleges which further divides us. Liberals label them victims because they gain political power by taking responsibility for them. "You're a victim, but we will fix it for you." It also gains the power to further stigmatize the right as indifferent (racist) (because they believe in personal responsibility), and to assert that the right, in its "indifference," is an illegitimate and unworthy steward of power in America. By making them victims political left can take responsibility for "fixing" it. Without this responsibility there is no moral authority, no power, and no ability to stigmatize the right. The only thing liberals cannot abide is the idea that they are not collectively responsible. And they will scratch the earth for victims in order to avoid this prospect.

America was founded and built on four great principles bequeathed to us by the Founders: The rule of law, individual rights, the guarantee of property, and a common American identity.

Instead of individual rights, we now have group rights based on race, ethnicity, gender and "sexual preference."

In this politically correct environment, the common American identity is supplanted by a heightened focus on the hyphenated Americans whose first loyalty is to their ethnic group. And those of us who want to be Americans first (not African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, Gay Americans etc) are labelled Nazis to frighten people away from ideas that only make sense.

Name calling is all you can do when you have no emotional intelligence. I was called a war-monger just because I served in the military 15 years ago. One of the people who answered this question showed no class and bashed you.

Liberals are gravely misinformed but choose to be misinformed which translates to stupidity. They cannot sit down and have a civil debate about any subject. I asked a liberal the other day about the quotes many liberal democrats made about the existance of WMD's in Iraq during the late 90's. I got called a "baby killer".

Just give me one liberal that will answer that question without bashing somebody.

Because they are, if they really care about the people, they probably wouldn't have done anything, or even exist. No one cares about the people, they are just in it for them sleves, ignore them, and get on with your life until some one who actaully cares about us shows up (like that will ever happen)

or, in other wrds, what clk4cb said, everything just started falling appart after 1805. Now, look at where we are now.

I never say those things about conservatives. I just say you are all very conceited...and you more or less prove the point with calling us ignorant to fact.

It's been my experience that conservatives rarely know the facts...it's all about what they believe...

Because they know they can't win debating the issues so they resort to ad hominem attacks.
