I breastfeed my two month old for the first month - and I got a serious sinus infection and had to take various medications for a few days and within the few days my milk went away - could I ever get my breastmilk back?

Relactating before a baby turns 4 months old has a very high chance of sucess, after 4 months there is still a fair chance of success. If you breastfed on demand the first 4-6 weeks that also greatly increases your chances of sucess.

Basically you have three issues: rebuilding your supply, getting your baby back to the breast, weaning from formula suppliments.

There is tonnes of information here:

But the most important part is the desire to do it. It is going to take work but it is totally worth it in the end.

And if you need to take medication during breastfeeding again please consult motherisk. It is probable that the medication you were taking was inappropriate and that there was a safe alternative. If you dial a 10-10 long distance plan it should cost less than $2 to get access to one of the best sources of information about safety during pregnancy and lactation in the world:

Motherisk's Home Line - (416) 813-6780 - for information about the risk or safety of prescription and over-the-counter drugs, herbal products, chemicals, x-rays, chronic disease and infections during pregnancy. YES!! When this happened to me, they advised me to spend 48-72 hrs with my baby. When he sleeps, you sleep,. When he's awake, breastfeed him. Have someone else do all the cooking, cleaning etc. Your time belongs to the baby. In 72 hrs, I had my milk back and breastfed him until he was 18 mos. old. You may also wish to try a lactation aid such as a Hazel Baker feeder or a feeding tube on the end of a syringe. Ask your midwife, Lactation Educator or hospital OB nurses for assistance. RELAX and drink LOTS of fluids. I am now an OB RN and a Lactation Educator.
