okay my engine is low on oil..my engine is suppose to take 10w30..but after looking at the receipt i think the last oil change they added 5w30...will it be okay if i add 10w30 to a engine that already contains 5w30..or will mixing them be bad...

Mixing won't hurt. Most cars call for either weight now days. 5w30 if it gets really cold where you are and 10w30 if it gets really hot.

All you need to worry about is the last # (30), which is the thickness it should be when up to operating temperature. You'll be fine adding ANY grade in just so long as it matches the API Classification called for in your manual, as in SJ,SL, SM, etc.

That should be fine. The viscosities will come to an equilibrium in between the two.
