Well, you should check out your local rescues. They have adult bunnies at small sizes. I adopted a 2lb dutch bunny. She stayed small and is about 1 year and a half and she is very pretty.

The problem with buying a baby from the pet store is that they promise you a dwarf, but you might get a giant angora bunny. When I first became a rabbit owner, I bought 2 rabbits from the pet store. They promised my bunnies will not grow much bigger than their baby size, but they grew up to be 4-6lbs.

I'm not sure if that is possible, and I don't know where but if you want a small bunny, try buying a dwarf bunny.

All bunnies grow, but there are small breeds of rabbits. Consider a Netherland Dwarf: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netherland_Dwarf

Does not grow? Well, I'd suggest purchasing an adult, then. Otherwise, the rabbit is going to grow.
Consider adoption, as there is often always a local rescue/shelter with a few rabbits who need homes.

I think a dwarf rabbit is what you are looking for. If you buy a baby it will grow but they do not grow too big.

Why, all things grow.
Netherland Dwarfs are a small breed and nice rabbits.
An adult would show you the maximum size of the rabbit, so there would be no surprises in store.

Marshall's Ferrets also sells neutered/spayed rabbits. They are kind of expensive but if anything like their ferrets, are worth the money.
