Yeh ever since I was old enough to need one I have hated them. They are just not comfortable and aggravate me. So...Im a C cup, and I pretty much Never, ever wear a bra, unless Im wearing white or very thin material. I really dont notice/care about the stares I get, but the question is...is it really a distraction or offense to people...when its kind of obvious im not wearing one? Ive gotten pissed off looks from girls whose guys check me out...but thats not my fault eh?

not sure if a guy gets the right to say anything but i believe if the bra feels irritating then you should just not wear it. I think you've done the right thing when you wear a bra only when you wear white or very thin material. Girls who give pissed off looks are just jealous that their guys don't stare at them in the same way. Keep it comfortable, do what feels right.

It's too much jiggliness. Not just guys stare- it's disturbing because it is so inappropriate- hard not to look because it just seems so wrong, so revealing. It's like saying a little too much when you're among strangers. It's revealing things others don't necessarily want to know about you.
I can't wait to take mine off and change into my jammies as soon as I'm home for the night- doesn't matter if it's six or midnight. They can be uncomfortable if they don't fit properly but I am more uncomfortable showing things I consider to be private to the whole world.
My best friend doesn't wear one ever but she doesn't wear shirts that make it obvious either. Me, i feel naked without one. Women who don't wear bras regularly seem to hang even lower as they age too BTW. It's healthier to support that weight on your chest with a bit of an undergarment.

And- It's like wearing messy clothes or shaving your head, getting your tongue pierced etc. Most people are going to make assumptions about you based on how you present yourself so if you're comfortable with people thinking you are sexually promiscuious and want them to stare at your chest then don't complain about the response it gets you.
This does NOT mean that if a man were to attack you that it was your fault based on you not wearing a bra either. Rape is a crime of violence- not sex.
It just means ignore the looks and comments and don't get upset by them or wear a damn bra and stop causing a stir based on your physical body. Cause a commotion with your mind instead!

More power to you if you don't want to wear a bra- I go without whenever appropriate- but if you want alternatives that are comfier, try sports bras or 'tube bras' that are cotton without underwires - or at the very least tank tops with built-in bras. During work, at a formal event, and while working out it is better to wear a bra as a courteous measure to others, but most of the time people aren't going to be offended with your bralessness unless you are bouncing around in a very see through shirt. Be proud of your chest, girl!

Well I understand your feeling! I hate them too. When I was younger and developing I couldn't wait to have one but now I regret it! But still wear mine everyday! If your breasts aren't saggy they shouldn't be a problem. When you're in your 40s that would be rather disgusting you know. I would wear undershirts that have built in bras so when you're out in public at a restaurant or something your nipples aren't all hard and bulging because that would be offensive and make you look slutty... Some people think of it as slouchy but all depends on how they look really. Older people WILL be very offended by it and give nasty looks but its your body...As for the guys that stare at you they think your easy. If you walk down the street when its obvious you aren't wearing one they think if shes that bold i'm getting some by tonight. Guys will respect you if you respect yourself and most people don't consider not wearing a bra respectful..its very provocative and show offy. It's really all your decision...I wouldn't reccommend it though...Good luck!

Thanks I thought I was the only one who hates bra's, when I am out in public I do wear one everywhere I go ,my husband would have a heart attack if I did not wear one.
However, your boobs will sag faster without the support and it is a distraction when I see a lady with no bra and one nipple is pointing towards hell and the other one nipple is shooting to the stars or if I see lady running with no bra and her boobs are practically ready to give her a black eye.Think Support for your sisters !!!!!and who cares about the looks you get
they are your boobies.

Yea, I hate to see a woman not wearing a bra, makes me think "slut", she is just looking for attention.

My husband likes to look at bra-less women, I don't care if he does it, as long as he doesn't act stupid and go out of his way and stare, when I am with him!

Its a mans nature to look, so don't flatter yourself to much when they look, they really don't see you at all, just your boobs. It shouldn't make you feel good, they'd stare at any boobs and it should actually feel insulting to you!

You should find a bra that is comfortable because you will regret some day when your very sagging that you didn't wear one!

from one c cup girl to another, i understand the feeling! but you are much braver than i. i'm bothered by the looks i get when my twins cause (too much) attention - where i'm from, bras are almost all a and b cups. as long as you can get away with it, have fun!

they make soft cups in shirts & dresses...you can go to the fabric stores and buy them and sew them in your Ts if you wish that way you dont have that full bra it just covers the nipples which really i see a bra does

I don't care if you do or don't wear a bra...just don't come crying when your boobs are hanging down by your stomach before you turn 30.

it'd kinda gross me out if I saw you walking down the street...but I'd get over it.

Instead of a bra, what about a tight undershirt or halter top to keep things in order?
