The 20th century lasted from 1900 through 1999 in the Gregorian calendar. This means that the year 1914 was also included.
The 1st century was 0-99, 2nd - 100-199 etc. If the year is 17** for example, you add 1 to the hundreds of the years, and you get the century.

Yes - - - Twentieth by Christian or Common Reckoning however Chinese and Jews and Others can disagree, rusty on my Judaic creed but is actually the 67 th Century or so and haven't slept with a Chinaman for a while con don't know what Century that would be.
