Foreigners will no longer be allowed to bring over their parents.

Because of Clinton, elderly people that legally immigrate here are automatically entitled to Social Security, Medicaid, Food Stamps, and subsidized housing (in most states). Those that are not old enough to collect S.S.I. are entitled to welfare.

Because of Clinton's legislation (1999), in 1999 there were 420,000 legal immigrants that were eligible for social security insurance and Medicaid. Over 250,000 elderly legal immigrants were eligible for food stamps. And 750,000 legal immigrants were eligible for food stamps.

Do like most countries do, require immigrants to have $20,000 in their bank accounts before they can come here. If they run out of money while here then send them home. The U.S. should gladly pay for the airplane tickets. That will save the U.S. over $500 billion in the long run.

Make an exception only for people coming here because of political asylum.

$2 billion they pay in taxes is nothing compared to what they cost. They cost California alone over $10 billion a year.

California Governor Schwarzenegger asked California voters to approve a $55 billion bond measure to rebuild levees, bridges, schools, and prisons. California voters would not have to pass the measure if illegal aliens were not in the state. Taxpayers must pay for the bonds and for the interest on the bonds.

Fact: The GAO(Government Accountability Office) reports that over 25% of all federal prisoners are foreigners. That alone costs over $5 billion a year. California alone spends over $1 billion a year on criminal illegal aliens.

Poor people take more out of social security than they put into it. Fact.

AMEN ! It is good to see some factual truth on here !!! If you really want a laugh , go back and check out what Ted Kennedy said after he got amnesty for over a million Illegals passed in 1986 ??? A hint ......... He said by passing the amnesty crap back in `86 , that there would never be amnesty brought up again before the Congress , and that the border would be secured totally to stop all future illegal entry at our border with Mexico !! I mean this is Ted Kennedy , did you expect anything else but BS out of the fool , but hello , he got someone to believe him saying the same promises " for the 3rd time" !!!!!!!!! It was L.B.J. that raided the SS fund to finance his " Great Society " BS program in the 60`s. Basically just gave it away to social programs , food stamps , rent subsidies , checks for people that were able to work , but wouldn`t , because they were making more sitting at home , than they would if they went out and got a job , and the more babies you could have the more money you got !!! Remember ; the SS program is in trouble because of the freeload spending for 35 years the left had control of both houses of Congress . The buck started with LBJ , and that was the beginning of the end for this country as far as deserving citizens are concerned !

I am going to play devils advocate here....for about 30 years, the state of California has charge state taxes, the feds have charged FEd taxes AND ss payments on fraudulent ss numbers...That amounts to, in California alone, about 2 billion dollars per year is SS payments that cannot ever be collected on. IN fact, the fed government has relied on this for years! IF legalization takes place, the free money collected will stop, and serious accounting will have to be done. Up until now, all the monies paid into these fund by illegals has been just that...paid for no return EVER! The feds scream that the SS will go broke, yet year after year, the SS system is raided by these same politicians for pork when the budgets do not allow their spending. The SS funds have been so badly handled in the past that it is a wonder their is any money left for any kind of payment. Think about this the next time your congressman or senator passes a bill that uses SS money to fund it. There will come a day when you will be entitled to a payout, and if things keep going the way they have, there will be nothing but stupid buildings, etc. to show for the money. Illegals, so far, have done nothing but help that fund....big time.

Sounds like you're the pot calling the kettle black. As a proud liberal, I believe that any industry or person, big or small, caught hiring illegal immigrants, should pay a fine of $10,000 per illegal. No excuses accepted, as the INS can and will check green cards, and most other papers can be checked on the Internet.

All the politicians are really looking at is the Hispanic vote. That is both Dims, and Repugs--to use your vernacular.
