Its still alive, of course, but ever since i borrowed him he doesn't feel like doing anything. He can't be hibernating because its late May. He's very small and i put him in a small, squared container with an ornament, some leaves, and fair water. He deosn't eat too and he's always sleeping. Am i treating it well or is he sick?

One word: Heat!

A turtle is a cold-blooded animal. Therefore, it depends on it's surrounding temperatures to regulate its own body temperare. Think of it as being in a blizzard...how much do you feel like moving when you are cold and your muscles are all stiff?? Get some heat on it or you will make it VERY sick.

It mostly has to do with what you're feeding it. Typically tortoises (and most turtles) need a steady diet of roughage, collard greens, broccoli, and alphalpha hay. ONLY GIVE LETTUCE AS A TREAT!!!!! Lettuce has almost no nutritional value whatsoever. Hope this helps!

You haven't stated if it's a box turtle or water turtle. If it is a wild turtle, the best thing to do before it dies, is to put it back in the wild.

if its a land tortoise then it will be lazy and they need ALOT of sun to keep their blood moving.if its a water turtle then they also need ALOT of sun and you might have a sick turtle. take it to a vet that treats various animals. its probably sick.
