I had unprotected sex in the beginning of May and lately I felt like I was going to start my period. I think I started it today, but I'm really not sure what it is. Whenever I use a pad there is no blood. When I use a tampon the whole thing is filled with blood. When I use the bathroom there is no blood. Could I really be on my period or am I pregnant?

Both. You are a little bit pregnant and alittle bit not. In any case trip to a doctor may be good.

If you're going to have unprotected sex (which you shouldn't, BTW), the least you can do is keep track of your periods. If your period is due now, you can take a pregnancy test to find out for sure.

"Spotting" (a small amount of bloody discharge) is often an early sign of pregnancy, but it may also be that your period is slow getting started. In that case, there's enough blood to soak a tampon, but not enough to trickle down onto a pad or in the toilet. If this is the case, your flow should be normal within 24 to 48 hours.

Until you get a "normal" period, take a pregnancy test about once every week or so. It's common to have false negatives early in the pregnancy.

You are on your period.

When using a tampon, it gathers the blood while inside your vagina...

when you go to wipe and use a pad, there won't be any blood for a bit because the blood needs to make it to the outside.

Your tampon is in much farther than you wiping or using a pad.

If you are that worried about pregnancy get a pregnancy test or consult your doctor.

# 1 why are you having unprotected sex? HELLO STDS??!!
# 2 enough with the lecture - go to the gynecologist asap. it could be anything - period, std (see above!) or maybe even cancer.
if you are having unprotected or even protected sex - you are ready to see a gynecologist.
