I have windows and tried to watch Borat. We tested both. It did not work at all on apple mac. Any ideas?

Maybe your ibook is not region free.

Those strips are to prevent theft. The downside is that they make the disk spin ever so eccetricly. Yes, macs and yess notbooks are more sucesseptable to this than a desktop (as far as brand is concerned, it depends on the mfgr of the drive (not the PC).Just tell BB that it doesnt work and they'll give you another disk for a day for free.

As stated, the anti-theft devices through the discs off balance. You could either rent/buy from a different store or buy an external dvd rom drive that may be more successful in running them.

buy a $40 dvd player and watch it on a normal tv
