I have been a really big Young and Restless fan every since I was a little kid,and it seems to me that this show just isn't as good as it used to be in the 1980's or early 1990's. I LOVED IT when they had Sheila Carter on there terrorizing poor Lauren Fenmore,or when the lady who played Sally Spectra on The Bold and The Beautiful was on the Young and The Restless and she took away Nina Chancellor's baby right after it was born.
I hate to sound really catty or mean, but it just seems like the storylines are VERY BORING and VERY LAME too! I have seen enough of Gloria chasing after William Bardwell,or Jill talking about Cane,or Lily and Daniel's troubled marriage, sheesh!! I thought the dumbest thing they did was bring back John Abbott to play a ghost and spook Jack Abbott, yeah right! I will tell you that if Y&R wants to keep their fan base, they better get better storylines or their fans are gonna be saying,"Forget about it,"and quit watching their show. Why was Nick Newman killed off?

While the storylines you describe were *CLASSIC* you're forgetting that the 80's were also riddled overwhelmingly by Cricket storylines...In fact, the Sheila Carter storyline was a backburner behind the Cricket sexual harrassment story.
Anyway, Bill Bell senior knew how to tell a story. You're completely right about that!

Nick isnt dead, he will be back. I dont find the story lines boring, I just think they are a little far fetched. First off the way that Phyliss found out and confirmed Brad and Sharon's affair was very unrealistic. Speaking as someone that worked in a hotel I can honestly say that you will never remember any guest from a month ago let alone a year ago and never with that much detail, even when they do tip very well. I am also not really into the Lily/Danial storyline. I think the writers could have found a better more interesting way to mess up their relationship. I am also very sick of seeing everyone get away sky free without paying for their action and the obvious amnesia. Like, OMG, Nikkie want Phyliss arrested for black mailing Brad to make Jack look bad but hello Phyliss just married Nikkie's son, they are family now, if anyone is going to look bad its her(thats what would happen in real life). Phyliss only being charged with extortion, when her extortion indirectly lead to Dru's "death". She can be held accountable for that. I also think the Cane storyline is dragging and they need to speed it up. Its not worth watching right now. It wont get spicy until around sweeps.

I thought that was dumb too about John Abbott been killed and then bringing him back as a ghost. I can't believe they killed Nick Newman. I really felt bad for Victoria with everything she is going through with Brad, her miscarriage. I hope they bring him back its not going to be the same without him. I feel really bad for Phyllis too for Nick. How could they kill Nick-he's Victor Newman's son! They should have killed off someone else not Nick. Oh I don't know about this show anymore. And then they changed the show from repeating at 7pm now they show at 11pm-cmon now... If you work 9-5 you're screwed-you have to watch all the episodes on damn Saturday.

I agree. Nick's not dead he just missing now, but he'll be back. I wanna vomit every time I see Gloria & William together. None of the stories have been interesting not even the thing with Nick right now or when Dru died..I was happy about that. The last storyline that grabbed a lot of people's attention was when Carmen was killed and it was Jana the whole time looking for that reliquary (sp?) and finding out about Brad's past and who he really is

Actually I read in the soap book you buy that Nick is coming back. they killed him off not knowing if he was gonna sign another contract but he did so he will show back up. Yes it is getting boring and not a lot of the turn outs are to suit the viewers. They need to bring a little more action into it.

Without Nick on the soap it's hardley worth watching. I use to love Nikki but she's the she-devil now and rude I don't know who changed her character. I hate politics and they have that there too. I think I'd like to see Brittney come back for just a little while.

Thank You, I think the storylines are becoming more and more boring!!! They need to come up with new storylines that are less predictable that keeps us on the edge. Everything is basically predicatble Gloria getting caught by Willian, Jack going down thanks to Victor, Nick surviving and comming back and the list goes on. I hope they comeback better, I'm falling asleep just watching it already.

I heard approximately this. it extremely is purely too undesirable Engen feels this way yet he's an actor. Did he particularly think of there could under no circumstances be any risk of the writers asking him to alter the sexual orientation of his character? besides the undeniable fact that, he does have a appropriate to hold directly to his very own ideals so permit's purely wish the hot Adam would be a sturdy actor.

They have different writers now. My favorite was when Grace drugged Nick and then slept with him. He was so confused. Also liked when Malcolm took advantage of Dru when she was drugged and she woke up saying that her husband made love to her like never before. Oh and don't forget when that crazy chick Veronica who was married to Nikki's husband and came in and terorized Nikki and poor Miguel feel in love with her. Those are classics! I have all of those episodes on VHS.

Yes, it's true. I find that I can go a couple of days without watching, then tune in on friday, and it's just dragging on. The story lines need a kick. I hope one is coming soon.
