My betta fish belly is pretty big, so I was wondering if there is anything wrong with him? He doesn't look sick and doesn't act sick. He still eats and he still is very active. He has had a big belly for like 2 months, so is there anything wrong with him?

youre betta is fat due to overfeeding. how much do you give it? should have just 3-4 pellets a day. it has to diet, so stop feediing, for 2-3 days (fish can last 2 weeks without food, so) and then start it up on 2 pellets the first day back...and then 3 on the next, on.

but if the scales are sticking out, its a disease called dropsy. and if thats the case...sorry.

I overfed my betta, but im putting it on a diet. 2-3 pelets a day or 2 pellets and a bloodworm (yuuumm..)

Probably not. Most any disease problems that would cause a big increase in size of the stomach would have killed him long ago. As long as he's eating and active you just have a big betta and no need for concern at all.

He may be constipated or just fat. Try not feeding him for a few days then feeding him a 1/2 a shelled pea, mashed up. Keep trying till he eats it if he is a picky eater.

Feed him less. If his belly gets less fat after a month of reduced feeding, then you found your problem.

Change his diet. Feed him less - maybe one or two drops of food per day.
