Most of us call reboot the "restart" button, but turning off and turning on is what a tech wants you to do when they ask you to reboot. Usually we are asking you to clear the ramm or clear a stuck process ,or we are asking you to save changes we have made to the registry (regisry chages take place on the start up cycle). Either way it does the same thing, us geeks can be pretty bad when we use tech speak. If your have any problems, ask us here, we'll be happy to help

Reboot is restarting the computer. Some computers have 1 button in which you press it once for on/off and hold down for reboot. Most have 2 buttons, a power on/off and a reboot button. With computers with 2 buttons the on/off is usually green and reboot is red, some reboot buttons also flash when data is read / written
