NO NO NO!!! That issue was from a SONY made battery. Dell outsources to many companies and their batteries are usually sony. The issue happened with Sony, Apple and HP. Dell was only the first company to do the recall. All others knew the issue existed, but did nothing and did it quietly. Dell was only in the news because it happend at a computer confrence that was recorded on video. I think it's actually GOOD of Dell to do such an extensive and public recall. People just like to tear down the big guy, even when he's trying to protect their customers. Again, the SAME batteries were used by Apple, and it took 3-4 months befire they did their recall.

No offense yet how precisely does a pc keyboard explode? i've got been interior the industry for 23 years and not in any respect...never heard nor am i able to come to a decision the way it may desire to take place. there is no longer something that i will fathom to generate warmth, etc. to realize this. i'm shocked they even offered you something. with regard to criminal action, you will get nowhere. The laptop became out of guarantee. i've got seen laptops well worth $4,000 die with diverse disasters actually a month out of their guarantee and the customer gets no reimbursement. it is the finished component of an prolonged guarantee. How do they understand you probably did no longer do it your self? despite if, i will inform you which you will hit upon a sparkling keyboard online for decrease than $40 particularly genuinely.

Come into the current times. THat is old news and it was the battery, produced by Sony that had the problem. As far as exploding, that has not happened. Spell check. Try it sometime. You won't look so illiterate, if you use it.

i doubt it....the guy must have done sumthign really stupid like block his processor fan from giving off the hot air and this way the whole pc becomes heated therefore the battery becomes heated........battery + extreme heat = explosion

Dell pc are getting some really good reviews lately so i think something definitely was wrong with whoevers laptop exploded.
