Well, you should be protected by the depo shot if you are not due for another injection until May 30th. Rarely, pregnancies do occur towards the end of the depo shot, or, of course if you choose to not take your next injection. You can take a pregnancy test if you are unsure.

Regarding some of the symptoms you are feeling, they could be anything (viral syndrome such as gastroenteritis, for example)...OR, yes, they could have to do with the fact that your next shot is due soon and your hormones are changing. The withdrawal of the progesterone in the shot may be changing the lining of your uterus and preparing your body for a period, etc.

Regardless, as these symptoms are concerning to you - please follow up with your doctor to help better assess your symptoms.

Good luck!

I'd get a pregnancy test just to ensure, but the first month on the pill or especially depo can cause these symptoms. It usually gets more balanced after the next month or two, but some people don't do as well w/ certain types of birth control as others. You may need to try something else like the pill.

Depo can cause a lot of bad side affects in women (really I'm surprised it is still being administered).

Talk to your doctor about your symptoms and ask to get put on another type of contraceptive.

I would have a test, or see a doctor. i have had depo and heard many stories about it. theres so many different side effects for anyone!

The nurse should of given you a test before she gave you the injection.

I hope everything works out ok for you.
