Venus
Venus is putting on a fine show, shining brilliantly in the west after sunset in the constellation of Gemini, the Twins. Not since May 2004 have we seen such a performance – and it's getting better. Over the month Venus appears to increase in size due to the movement along its orbit which brings it closer to the Earth. This means increasing brightness too.

You won't need any help to find Venus – but for great photo opportunities, take a look on the 19th when the three day-old slim crescent Moon sits to the right of the planet.

Whoa.. The ignorance is bold. The correct answer with thumbs down.
Yes is Venus. The Moon and Venus are the objects more visible in the night sky. This is a splendid spectacle. Some country flags are inspired with this astronomy event. I take a picture but the atmosphere (in the Caribbean) is full of dust from the Sahara

It is the planet Venus, also called the evening star. I did see it tonight next to a sickle moon - very impressive. You can also see it early in the morning when it is called - the morning star.

you are definately seeing venus. if you go out tonight the moon and venus will be even closer together. if you look straight up you can see the constellation leo, the brightest "star" in this region is actually the planet saturn. and if you stay up late you will be able to see jupiter in the constellation scorpio. its almost as bright as venus but not quiet. it will have a sort of yellowish hue. look to the southeast to see jupiter. good luck and i hope this helps!!!!!!!

Venus in the West by the crescent moon.
Looked spectacular last night.
However, look in the East after about 11.30 and you will see Jupiter, also quite bright last night.

Yes, of course it is Venus.

Guys, don't worry about getting thumbs down for correct answers - it happens a lot. There are a couple of trolls out there who do it for a hobby!
