email them. Let them know that you will take your viewing somewhere else. That was the stupidest thing that a broadcasting company could have done.

well first off to kao the Buffalo viewing area was the only area not affected by the move.

As for NBC not only did Versus save their butts but even in the final weeks I have to question their motives. Sens-Penguins game where the sens were blowing out the pens and yet a more exciting game was going on with either Carolina or New York (I forgot which one) then they air games that had no impact on the standings while key games were being played elsewhere. NBC is giving the same stuff to the NHL that ESPN did all I can say is at least XM will honor the games (and I would like to see them do even better with the world hockey championships and junior champuionship games). I'll complain but I think instead of NBC you should complain to the NHL and force them to have a dedicated national broadcast outlet.

The NBC contract with NHL is probably the stupidest contract the NHL has ever worked out with anybody. First off, CBC just gave NHL over half a billion dollars for the rights to games for the next few years. CBC has always had Hockey Night in Canada. NBC gave no money, and said they might pay a few dollars if they sold enough ads. Then NBC asks for afternoon games, so THE NHL GIVES IN TO THEM! Now the NBC says "you didn't finish the game fast enough, goodbye!" What a disgusting thing to do to sports fans. I couldn't believe I saw the game continuing on our CBC station, and ignored on NBC.

I was pretty heated at first. Good thing my friend, fast thinker, grabbed the remote and turned it to Versus right away.

Just when I thought I was going to have a Versus-free hockey day...

I can't believe they'd do that when they're only allowed by contract to broadcast a few games.

I feel the pain, but I don't think I'll e-mail them. I can't help it, any time I can watch NBC instead of Versus is good stuff.

Besides, I love it when Hully and Ray Ferraro argue, haha.

YES! I walk down to the dumpster to take out my trash, and by the time I get back Hockey is AWOL and all I see is some fat uptight dude talking about a damn horse. The horses should ride the jockeys, then maybe I would give a crap. (And even then only a little).

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!!!! This is the 3rd time I missed games on NBC. Twice for local, regular season baseball, and then this crap. They ended up showing overtime on versus, but I didnt find that out until it was too late, about 30 seconds after the GWG was scored.

I blame the NHL personally.

They created a better game (in my own humble opinion, no need to flame me...) and then they hid it from the public and even the die hard fans by putting it on a network that many people haven't even heard of or don't get because it's not a standard channel on most packages on satellite or cable.

They should have bit the bullet and paid ESPN whatever they wanted while they rebuilt their popularity and then negotiated a better deal.

More pissed that Street Sense lost! NBC's coverage strategy made a horse racing fan out of me...(tongue firmly in cheek).

Bad form on the part of NBC, worse yet for the NHL, having to wipe one more embarassing egg from its face.

What an f'ing disaster. What are they going to switch to tomorrow, teletubbies?

I missed this happening. I saw the whole game on NBC.

If it makes a difference in the blacking out, I live in the Buffalo suburb of Kenmore and have Dish Network.

I'm curious in what areas this blackout happened.
