Nobody has absolute proof. But it's very likely they have covert nuclear weapons program. Russia and others offered them nuclear fuel, but Iran refused. Now if you have nuclear fuel shipped to Iran they won't have chance to stock enriched uranium. If Iranians are only after electricity they shouldn't have reasons to decline Russia's offer. I also have heard reports(although may not be very credible) that there were some evidence of laser enrichment attempts by Iranian. Laser enrichment(selective excitation of isotopes) is much faster way to enrich uranium for weapons purpose.

And Iranian leaders openly calls for destruction of Israel.

So if you see this crazy guy, he tells you that he wants to kill you and you see that same guy walk into a gun store. What would you do? He may or may not get a gun. If he does get a gun, he may or may not shoot you. What would you do?

as far as i know only statements in the news all i can offer is what i read in the bbc news essentially u.s. says they do iran says they don't iran is using nuclear power for alterantives to oil u.s. says it if for weapons andthey are building a centrifuge sounds medical to me not nuclear u.s. says enrichment of uranium can occur also article about un sanctions on iran bit of a puzzler that isn't the denial of food to any where against the geneva conventions also was it really the un and not the u.s. which put the sanctions on iran makes you wonder what these people think they are doing it does not make sense un provides food to places but puts sanctions on others then turns around and provides food to these places when there is a war and then talks about terrible suffering and atrocities all the fault of opposing forces in these countries so is the un hypocritical or is this disinformation

I do recall the congress (Dems and Repubs) saying they had them and voting to go to war.
