I have never had this problem before. There are grey and silver lines running thru the bottom. The color display is not clear at all. I used my system restore, which worked until I clicked on the start menu, then it happened again. I havent messed with anything or changed any settings. Has anyone had this problem and what could have possibly happened?

Update the video driver, if it did not solve the problem, you need to buy a new video card.

yea i have a pressario, good little machine i like it, sounds to me like your drivers might be to blame or part of the actul monitor, if its that then your gonna need it replaced. but try the drivers first, reboot the machine into safe mode tap f8 until a screen comes up with some options, chose safe mode, then let it do what it does and log in, then click ok on the box that comes up, it will now load your desktop as normal exept in a much lower resolution, now go start run DEVMGMT.MSC this brings up the device manager, now look on the list and find the one that says display adaptors, click to expand it, now oppersite click on what comes up, and uninstall, if there is more than one, then do it more than once, don't worry its fineit won't go blank, i promise, now close that and restart the machine normally login and it will proberly still be blurry and it should automatically reinstall the driver that you deleted, and then ask you to restart the machine, at which point this should solve your problem if not then it may need profesional repair.

I Have Never Had This Problem but It May Be your Graphics Card. It May Need To Be Replaced Or You Need To download The Updated Version From The Graphic Card's Site

I agree, boot to safe mode reinstall drivers. Try the comp with a different (external) monitor, if the symptom persists with a different monitor, the issue is with the card or drivers.
