You can install what is commonly referred to as a "french drain." This is essentially a trench that is dug across the slope. You can place some drain pipe in the bottom of the trench and fill the trench with gravel. The drain pipe should daylight out so that the water can drain from it. You can cover the stone with a couple of inches of soil an plant grass over it. If you are careful, you can save the existing sod and place it back over the trench to avoid having to replant the grass.

Investigate a FRENCH DRAIN. (this will not be a precise description, as I have never built one but we have them in our subdivision due to natural springs.

You run a trench, line it with gravel, then the rainwater will drain through the gravel to the sewer or wherever.
