Pink Floyd have done songs about war not just in the 70's though.
So have Status Quo, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and many more.

War stories? there was a band called War that sang a song "WAR." I am not sure about war stories.

IDK any with that title. There is War by Edwin Starr and there was a group called War and there was lots of songs from the early 70's that had to do with war, namely Vietnam. Need more specific info, sorry.

I wonder if you mean "War Baby" by Tom Robinson ? I love this song, and had it on vinyl, a short version and a (better) extended version.
