Mine goes to Patton, hands down.

No poor sonovabitch ever won a war by dying for his country,

He wins a war by making some OTHER poor sonovabitch die for HIS country.

"that aint right" Chris Rock in Head of State

oh and the speech Richard Gere gives as Billy Flynn in Chicago as he does the tap dance to win the case. You gotta be thinking "damn he's good"

the girl that answered before me, that was a speech by someone in real life, probably imitated, know your history. i don't remember who, but it sure as hell wasn't the writer of Coach Carter.

Mine goes to Patton also. That is one of the best openings to a movie I have ever seen and this is one of my favorite movies of all times

The other I guess would be the taxi scene where Douglas is talking to Sheen and they are talking about information and how information is the key to being successful.

My favorite speech in a movie is said by a character in Coach Carter. It is actually a real speech though written by Marianne Williamson and said by Nelson Mandela in his inaugural speech in 1994.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
