If the government is not willing to provide health care assistance to all americans, what gives them the right to say wether or not a woman can terminate a pregnancy or wether or not a husband can pull the plug on his wife whos been a vegtable for 10 years.

The government does not have such rights. But this is not abot "rights"--or about right and wrong. it is about a fringe group of religious fanatics who want everyone to be forced to follow their dictates.

Universal health care will give politicians the right to interfere with anyone's health issues. Government funded means government controlled. I find it ironic that you complain about the government interfering with the health decisions of individuals yet you clearly support universal health care.

Only socialist governments are required to provide health assistance to their citizens. The killing of babies is considered by most citizens to be a crime, and should therefore be the business of government, although that isn't happening currently. It is by no stretch of the imagination a family health issue. Euthansia of the ill is also unlawful.

Abortion would never be government funded i hope, and social security and medicare would pay for the vegetable if insurance stopped.
