i just got an ipod but i dont know how to put in my songs.can someone please tell me STEP BY STEP how to put it in without paying money just for free anythng but itunes because it does not work.
If anyone knows how to do it through limewire it would help out alot PLEASEE SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO DO IT FOR FREE!!!

If you got a Apple ipod, your will need itunes. iPods only work with itunes. You can download itunes since it's free. :)

sadly the only way to transfer music into ur ipod is using iTune!
turn on iTune, connect the iPod with ur computer by using the cable that came with iPod when u purchased, after u connect it, about 5 seconds later, iTune will automatcally update, ull see the little screen on the top with the updating bar running. after it updates, then u click files, "add song" or somthing like that, and pick the song u want. Becareful: sometimes u use shift key and select more than 1 song, iTune might not work cuz its dumb. so just select one song at a time. a faster way is using "add folder" which iTune will just take the whole folder. then u right click the "iPod avatar" left hand column, near ur "play lists" and choose "update my iPod," iTune will then again show that updating bar on that little screen on the top. after the update is done. the music is in ur iPod

If you've got all the songs, simply open iTunes, go to File, then Import Folder and select the folder.
If you've not...sigh. Limewire is free - open it and click the audio tab, and search away.

1) download Limewire bu goin to www.limewire.com
2)set up your itunes, they give instructions on how to do this with ur ipod
3)once u have itunes set up, and limewire is downloaded, simply search for songs u like on limewire
4)once the song is finished downloading on limewire click it and drag it over to itunes
5)plug in ur ipod to your computer and dont unplug it until it says "Ipod sync complete"

well first you have to have itunes. so if you don't go download it, it's free anyways
(you can drag your limewire music onto itunes)
then after you hook your ipod up a screen should pop up and it's pretty easy to follow
