i just cant seem to understand how some girls put up with such nonsense. i dont how anyone personally with this problem but theres a girl at my school who lets her bf drive her bran new audi, she used her allowance money to bail him out of jail, he makes her pay when they go out on dates, his parents dont give him money and he doesnt have a job, he cant drive, and hes what i call a "wigger" = hes a white boy who looks at the media-spoon fed music videos on BET and imitates their style, attitude, ebonics, etc and calls it "black culture"..shes a really smart black girl and totally classy. we arent close but shes always crying about it. hes an *** to her and actually threatened to break up with her if she didnt sleep with him..sorry but thats a big "hell no" for me. girls should stop being so damn demure and docile - stand up for your ******* self. if your a ***** to me - ill tell you. its only fair right?

people will walk all over you if you let them for your whole life. guys girls parents kids and coworkers. the thing is, ive been with girls who never put their foot down, youll just get bored with them, no one wants a slave

I have watched many MANY shows dealing with this and have decided that the women in these situations have become so use to this treatment, that they begin to believe it and dont think they are worth it for a better guy. Also, some guys in the begining dont act this way, but once they are married, the abuse starts, and the women believe they are "in love" and only remeber the part of what the guy was and not how this is hurting them. Some women are also VERY dependant on their guy. Hope this Helps

In my case, it's because of my past. I don't feel like I'm worth much, so any guy is a good guy. Sometimes, girls like me and your friend like dominant, aggressive guys because 1) they usually know they're way around a woman, 2) they're not boring, 3) when times are good, they're really good, or 4) being the dominant one in every relationship, whether romantic or not, gets annoying, and having a guy to balance you/keep you in check feels nice.

She should DUMP him. She is afraid that she won't find another boyfriend if she doesn't do what he wants. Someone should tell her to get rid of him and that there are more fish in the see than just him.
She needs some confidence in herself and someone should tell her that she is pretty and that she will find another boyfriend. Tell her if he is treating her the way he is now that if she were to marry him things will be worse. He has no respect for her now and things will get worse later.

i think the girls who are being used..... are girls whom are looking to find a guy who is rough around the edges....
and wishes to "rescue" or "mould" that guy into something nice!
I am 33, and have seen enough relationships where the girl attempts to change the guy from someone whom drinks alot at the bars, clubs, discos... and brings him back to earth!.
Make him responsible,
the guy feels good because he's rescued and the girl feels good because she has a piece of ART!
Unfortunately, guys subconsciously know this.
When they refute a woman like this....
... they do so HARD!
hence.... they appear to be "door mats"

GIRLS LIKE THAT ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE DOORMATS, USUALLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE LOW SELF ESTEEM OR SELF WORTH. THEY HAVE VERY LITTLE EXPERIENCE STANDING UP FOR THEMSELVES. I WAS THIS WAY WITH MY EX A LONG TIME AGO, BUT MY LOW SELF ESTEEM WAS DUE TO DEPRESSION THAT RESULTED FROM THE DEATH OF MY MOM.... I WAS ABOUT 17 AND THIS STUCK WITH ME TILL I WAS 19. IM 22 NOW, AND LETS JUST SAY I KNOW BETTER; IM WISER, MORE EDUCATED, MORE MATURE, AND MORE INDEPENDENT THAN I USED TO BE.

I can relate to you feeling like that too, I have a friend actually who lets everyone walk all over her. I wish she would grow a spine and stand up for herself. Life is what you make of it , and it's up to her to get rid of him. And as much as it irks you that this happens, only she can take care of her situation. Maybe just be there for her when she needs a shoulder. Just like someone once told me, you can't help someone who does not want to help themselves.
