to have loved and 'lost' what does that mean?
i loved my husband and he died and i lost him
was it better to have loved and lost... hell ya!!!
i got a beautiful daughter from that love.
but seems to me that all the relationships i have been in since have been nothing more than a compulsion that i have... and need to get some counseling for....LOL....
love to me is still a superficial feeling only meant to confuse us....
sorry cali... love just doesn't exist... unless it's blood.

Yes it is better.. because at least you were able to feel something .... to know what that feels like.. Yes, heart break one too many times can turn anyone numb... you just have to realize that not every one is the same as those in your past. I was sad to have lost but I wouldnt change the memories I had while I was loving.

That saying is a load of horse hockey. Probably made up some total loser that never had a date in his life and died an 80 year old virgin. Your right being numb is what happens eventually and you can never tell when that's going to happen. You can have all sorts of memory's and feelings with a girl that don't involve love. I know, I do it all the time. Love is basically a useless emotion, in this context. Better to have drunk and barfed than to have never drunk at all is what I say.

Yes definitely Loved and lost is better.
I've Loved and lost and even though It hurts more every time I still cherish the memories and special moments.
I think I'm kind of like you now Numb.

It can do the same thing to a woman, and It think it has made me to where I will never be able to love someone like I use to before all that heartbreak. But I am glad that I got to love that deep , I know the difference now.â¥
