Does Sylar eat the peoples brains to get their powers?

That is what is inferred in the show, and IIRC someone (Mohinder?) stated IN the show that he does eat the heroes brains.

The writers and producers have said that he does eat the brains, but they've also said they'll never actually say that on the show - they don't want people thinking about brain-eating zombies.

We don't know one way or another if he eats the brains, but it seems like it could be a definite possibility. I don't remember seeing any brains hanging around after he killed Isaac or Ted.

No, he doesnt eat peoples brains but he cuts them open to absorb their powers. He cant do it if he doesnt open them up. I dont know if the killing is intentional but hat is the way he gets the powers. Peter can do it without killing people but he absorbs powers also

They haven't really revealed this but it does seem to suggest that he does because the brains ARE gone.

No, he absorbs the power like Peter does, but he cuts open their heads to kill them.
