It only does it on long rides, and goes away if I blip the throttle. The bike still runs perfect, no ticks or other engine noises. I take really good care of the bike, changing the oil every 3000. I use full synthetic race oil, 10w-40. Any suggestions would gretly be appreciated. Thanks

Seems like you lose pressure as the oil thins when hot. "Blipping" the throttle makes the engine (and oil pump) spin faster, momentarily raising oil pressure. Check your oil level. Have your oil pump checked. If all is ok, you may want to use a heavier oil.

Get it checked out before any damage is done.
The oil light was a sign.
The engine was telling you "take me to the doctor for a check up!"
Better safe than sorry.
The oil filter may not be doing it's job.
Your bike is getting close to the 10 year old mark.
You should consider changing the oil more frequently (maybe every 2000) and use a thicker weight oil (20w/50).
Do it now. Drain the oil into a clean pan. Run your fingers through the oil and squish it. Check for metal particles or clutch debris.
If you find anything, after this oil change, change them again in another 50 miles. If you still find any junk in the oil, repeat the process.
Wear rubber gloves if you have them. Used oil has been known to cause cancer.
I use surgical gloves whenever doing engine work. I hate getting my hands dirty LOL
Any dirt or contanimants could ware out the oil pump.
The oil pressure switch may be going bad.

I agree with the heavier weight oil, as guardrail suggests, maybe your engines clearances are wearing and as a result pressure is dropping. Maybe there is an intermittent short that comes and goes with vibration, or it could just be that the oil is not returning from the head galleys to the sump quickly enough and so it thinks it is low on oil. Have it checked out...
