Try not to develop diabetes then -- you have to prick your fingers, hand or arm about a dozen times a day!!!
I don't like the vials, I have the sneaking feeling that I *may* need some of my blood, and they don't seem to feel that way when they're taking it.

He probably ordered a battery of tests and different colored vials are required. Our lab tech draws 'just in case' tubes in case the doctor thinks of another test he wants and you won't have to get re-stuck. =)

I have very tiny, deep veins that are covered with scar tissue from donating blood for years, so my veins are hard to get to. I would much rather get poked. And, since I'm diabetic, I'm used to poking myself!
