Okay people, so I really like this guy, not giving away any names, but he's say... FOUR YEARS OLDER THAN ME!!! Strange thing is, he may like me back too. I know after the age of 18, it doesn't really matter, but seeings how both me and him are younger than 18, does it matter?? Please people, I need your help.

You failed to mention your ages. It probably is not appropriate for you guys to be dating at this point since you are still very young compared to him. No matter what your both under 18 and i am sure your parents would not appreciate you dating a 17 year old if you are only 13 years of age. Give it up. He should be ashamed of himself. Once you turn 18 then age does not matter

No four years is nothing at all like my mom and dad have 6 years difference.If you really like him and if he likes you sure why not go for him it won't harm you too and it's your life and don't worry if friends make fun of you or if you get teased there just jealous BUT it's up to you if you feel right about this then go for it BUT if this whole age thing is bugging you TO TO MUCH then it could be a sign for you to move on.GOOD LUCK HUN.

Your age depends on how mature you are at the time. I married a guy who was three years older than I. I met him when I was 15 years old. I married him when I turned 18 yrs .old We had three beautiful children, it lasted 34 yrs. until he passed away. A great beautiful marriage.Then I married a guy 13 yrs. older than me. It last 8 beautiful yrs. until he passed away.So you see when you truly love someone, age doesn't really matter much. Good luck to you.

Sorry, but if you have to ask a silly question like this, you both are too young. The older you get (as mentioned in one of the answers; 52 & 42), the less it matters.

It matters when you're at different levels in your life such as:
Junior High -- High School
High School -- College
You and things change so much during your teenage years and for the first five years into your twenties that you're going to find you don't like the same kinds of things (and people) next year that you do now.
So yes, it matters when you're not at the same place in life (does that make sense?).

that would be like 13 and 17 and to me it doesn't matter but it may amongst both of the families. also when he turns 18 it will be an illegal relationship if you all do have sex. i would ask your parents how they would feel if you dated someone that old. and yes once you are both 18 and there is nothing illegal then it doesn't matter.

well when you both are under 18 its not a big deal but when he turns 18 and you are still not thats a big no no there...he can be charged with statutory rape if you guys get together. but when you reach the age of 18 and date someone older its ok...when you are at the legal age.....age aint nothing but a number .

If there's a four year difference between you and you're both minors, there will come a time when he can be arrested and charged as a rapist if you're sexually involved. This can lead to him having problems with the law and finding a place to live his entire life.
If you love him, then, i think it's best you wait, because it can really mess up both your lives.

no age dosnt matter its 4 years thats not bad at all my mom and dad r 4 years apart if theres somthing there and u 2 r in love then age shouldnt matter heck my grandparents r 20somthing years apart
