I think with the pressure and getting used to the system and everything he might get about 12.

I disagree with Tom M saying he is an above average pitcher. I think he's well above average, and will only continue to get better.
There's a lot of pressure, media, hype and zoo type atmosphere during his first month in the MLB, and it's hard to pitch under such intensity and circus surrounding him. Now that this circus is starting to die down, he will be a top pitcher. I can tell by his last two starts.
I think he will win about 17-18 games and that's awesome. People in Boston are saying if he wins 14-16 games, he's done his job.
I don't think he will reach 20 though.

Is he a good pitcher...of course he is. Is he worht $100M...not in my mind. He's done better than Zito, so I guess the investment wasn't all bad considering the other top pitchers on the market this offseason. If he can figure how to pitch effectively from the stretch he'll be a great pitcher. I don't think he'll win 20 even with great run support, but 18 isn't out of the question for him.

Dice-K will probably get 15-17 wins this season, i dont see him reaching 20. He was way over hyped, hes a good pitcher dont get me wrong, but people seemed to be expecting no hitters every game out of the guy. Give him a break, after all this is only his first MLB season.

With the offense the Red Sox have, he should win 20. He is an above average pitcher, but not worth all the hype. The best young pitcher (under 25) in the game now is Kazmir in Tampa Bay. He could win 20 in Boston as well.

Well, I never doubted Dice-K's ability. I mean the Red Sox are not dopes, and they would never have paid the price they did if they didn't think he was a great pitcher. After today's win over the Braves, combined with the win over Detroit earlier in the week, Dice-K's record is now6-2, and I think his critics are finally shutting up as well they should!! He is a proven MLB pitcher!!

It has to be more than 12 games with the run support he's getting. And let's not forget that he's still getting used to pitching the MLB. Apparently, in Japan, a pitcher pitched once a week so once he has this rotation thing down, I'm sure he'll be more effective.
