I was just wondering, because you know how AFI stands for A Fire Inside? I was just wondering if H.I.M meant anything.

When they were just starting out it stood for His Infernal Majesty, but when they got big they realized that they needed to change it because it was really just a joke, peple were starting to think they were a cult, and peple in Finland had a hard time saying it. Now it is simply HIM. It doesn't stand for anything but Ville Vallo [the lead singer] is always asked what it stands for so he always makes stuff up.

It used to stand for His Infernal Majesty; but now they just go by HIM or H.I.M.
