backwards? I've heard there are about 15 distinct and separate things. What have you heard by playing other albums backwards. There are 'hidden' messages in songs from Queen, Styx, Led Zepplin, ELO and others.

There was one on ELO's Face the Music Album (First cut, Fire on High) that when played backwards said "The Music is reversable but time is not...turn back, turn back, turn back")

Ahhh, college days, when time was on my hands and beer was in my belly...lol.

Great question.

I am not forty but I am the seed of a musician so I grew up listening to all of the music most people older than I am never heard. I played some of those albums backwards and never really heard anything on most of them. I think you can only hear what you want to hear. The rest is probably coincidence.

Why does this have to be for peoople over 40? I love the Beatles. There is no "secret messages", its just them singing backwards along with the record

Its called "backwards masking"... and if you look at evangelical literature of the early and mid 80's.... some of these folks wrote BOOKS about the stuff.......

Do a "google" on backwards masking.... and that may get you where you wanna go....

Never tried that. I think it's a rumor. I've never seen a turntable, including my DJ boyfriends' back in the day; that went backwards.
