I'm in my early 50's as is my wife.

Whenever my wife goes out of town, the girl ( 23-25 yrs old) next door, comes over a lot to ask questions or to borrow things. All these questions are about how to fix something at her house.

When my wife is home, she doesn't come over or really acknowledge that my wife or I exist. I've asked my wife about it, but she say's the girls a bit off. My wife say's she's tried to talk to her before, but that she brushed her questions away.

Does this sound weird or what? Do you think I have a potential pyscho living next to us? What would you do, if anything?

I've made sure that I don't let her in the house. My wife and I both agreed a while back that she wasn't getting past the threshold.
She has asked for me to come over and help fix things, but I always decline the request. Also, when she comes over, it's almost always when I'm in the yard or in my workshop.

Well for one I would'nt answer the door without a bat behind my back! LOL. But seriously, she sounds like she might have a little crush on you. You should tell her next time she comes over, nicely, that you would appreciate it if she would ask your wife for things and not you. Or just tell her that your wife will be home soon to ask her. Just to keep the peace between neighbors.

That sounds very odd. I would suggest not answering the door when you see it's her. If she sees you an hour later (or whenever) just make the excuse you were in the shower. Her actions seem like she is interested in you. If you wife is right, and there is something a little "off" with her, well, there isn't too much you can do.

Good luck. I wouldn't really take it seriously unless she starts to come on to you or make sexual comments or anything along the lines of that.

I hope you know,... THE GIRL IS TRYING TO GET CLOSE TO YOU!!! She asks to borrow things and how to fix things. But here is a REAL question. Does she ask any help from you? She comes when your wife is gone because she takes her as a threat. But on the other hand she could have some disturbance thrust upon. So just make sure you do what your heart says so. Got it!♥

Sounds like a girl who is a bit slow (so to speak) has a major crush on you. Stop answering the door when your wife isn't at home. Maybe, just maybe she'll get the hint. You don't want her saying something is happening that isn't and get into a hornets nest!

She's probably just being careful, she's afraid of the jeolous wife type. I know, I am afraid of my neighbors wife. Although she knows I am happily engaged to an incredible handsome man, I see the jealousy and hear the arguments if we speak too long or smile too much. So I too avoid them when she is home.

wow that sounds like a bad situation. women like to play mind games. it is a power trip. she wants you to choose her over your wife but she knows your wife won't stand for it. that is why she always comes by when the wife is away. i definitely think you have a potential psycho living next to you. tell her to ask your wife to help her. watch out man!

Probably she figures you're a man who knows manly things such as home repair. She probably doesn't want to cause trouble with your wife (younger woman/older guy) so she asks for stuff when not around. Not the most socially apt, but if she's not following you around or trying to seduce you, it can't be that bad.

I would just move or tell her to leave you alone and that you have a wife becasue you wouldnt want to ruin the relationship with your wife over that girl.

I would tell the girl myself not to come over again. You have to be the one to tell her since she only comes over when your wife is gone. And dont let her come inside your home she could lie and say you raped her.Put a stop to it now.

Treat her nicely, perhaps she has a bit of a fantasy about you. Try to avoid situations in which you would be alone with her.
