I have an ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 graphics card, and I could not upgrade this because it is built in the laptop and shares the RAM of the laptop, so upgrading RAM would make no difference either. Please help me as this is causing much anger when I am playing cs;s. FPS could at least be 60 I think. Thanks in advance.

I think your expectations are more than a bit unreasonable for a notebook, esp an acer, esp with with 1100 graphics. 1100 is less a low end gaming card than it is a card for homework and business applications. You're partially right about the ramm, It would affect the rest of the computer, not just the graphics card, but putting less strain on the existing ramm and the pipeline could help a little. Frame speed is a function of your capacity and demand on your resources. Either lower your resolution, anti aliasing and other 3d or take the hit in frame speed. Have fun, but have realistic expectations. You can help other aspects of your game by keeping the cmoputer as clean as possible before play. Make sure youre using ac, not battery or everything will throttle down. Turn off wifi. If youre on a known safe site when doing massives, turn off antivirus and antispy (of course, do scans afterwards) and reboot router BEFORE playing. Right clck my computer, then left clck properties, choose advanced, then click for performance. Go into startup and turn off anything not required by the game. GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN!

With that graphics adapter, I am surprised that you are even able to run CS: Source. Laptops are not really made for gaming, and the Xpress 1100 is not a great adapter. It is a heck of a lot better than some of the others, but nowhere near as good as is needed to run the Source engine well.

All you can really do is play it at a lower resolution, that will probably up your FPS a bit.
