I have created a website and the color scheme makes my page look rather flat. I am using light blues, white background, and black text.

What are some good color schemes (2 or 3 at the most) that would help grab a readers attention and keep them there? You can mention gradients or just solid colors.

Any help is appriciated.

In my opinion solid colours are the best to use. if your after colour inspiration check out http://kuler.adobe.com really good for putting together colour swatches to get the perfect colours.

Also in my opinion blues and greens are really nice to look at, any colour would do just remember to try and be unique and contrast font colours with the site colours.

hope that helps

I believe that the notion of using two strong colors is a good way to go. Using every strong color may work for attracting children, but most other areas require a controlled color theme. Try choosing colors that fit the product or niche you are covering on your web page. When possible, try appealing to the market you want to attract. You want your web site to stand out, without over doing it. Some topic web sites may be more limited in appropriate color schemes than others.

Green+Blue+White
Red+Orange+Yellow
Brown+Orange+Yellow
Red+Pink+White
Just keep trying different variations until you find the right combination.
Good Luck!

White is fine, you need 1 or 2 stronger colors and may be the same colors in pastel light to create a strinking visual, I would avoid black unless its text, but also by using the right fonts and size, it can totally change the visual of a website.

It depends on what you're going for. and it depends on the combos too.

red & black or purple, white and silver...gothy

ditto but with bright pink......something blue

bright colours, orange and yellow.....food

steel grey and sky blue....attention grabbing but calming

When baking these items, I would suggest adding more flour to the Strawberry Shortcake to make it harder. Then bake at 16-18 minutes and remove tray.
