lots of online books and courses,
Windows and Microsoft Office are all laid out in a similar manner.
Look for books or online courses or a disk on Microsoft Office
Staples sells a disk set - Professor whatever relatively inexpensively.
You can practice with the disk 100s ot fimes and it will not call you names,

Microsoft propoganda to sell you office 2007:

you could also get a second hand book on learning office
( try to get at least one for office 2000, the office 97 is a start but diffirent than office 2000/xp/2003 etc etc) There may be a disc in it if you are lucky. Or try ebay.

You do not have to go to school for the basic to intermediary excel skills. Those are easily offered through either online training (which I can help you with if you're pc based) or you can read up and use some self-help books and software. The Excel Video Professor is an okay software to get but if you prefer someone live and online please contact me! If you require advanced skills, dependent on your career choice, your best bet is to take a course with live help available at a local community college. Take care and good luck.

There are several books that help you learn excel, even some set up in the "dummies" style. Also, check with your local recreation board - many offer 6 or 8 week classes in the basics of word, excel, or computer use.

Check with your local Community College (CC). Many have non-credit courses such as this that are usually 1 to 3 days.
There are also books with tutorial CDs in them at your local bookstore.
If you are looking for a job and they want to know Excel experience, you would be better off thru your CC as they would give you a certificate.

Go to your library many have inro word and excel training. You can get those "dummies" and "in 1 week" books there too. Also websites like CNET have free "mini courses" and there are user groups both online and in your community. If you want to learn more, community colleges and adult extensions have quicky on day courses for cheap, not like those "boot camp" private schools.
