It probably has to do with socialization. I have noticed that it is so much easier for a girl to get away with more stuff that would seem deviant in males. Flamboyance for example. It is almost expected for a female yet if a male shows these signs he is going against the traditional views of society and is labeled deviant. Now with females, it is almost common to see them hugging or even kissing in public as an expression of friendship, so with these attitudes society tends to be more leniant towards bi-sexual women. At least thats my take on it.

Guys get off on seeing 2 girls but would you really want to watch a couple of guys! Girls are also more likely to show affection between each other without it being seen as sexual!
So it's more likely that girls are more open about it!
